The clay is a man-made derivative of PVC so as you can imagine, when properly baked, is a very durable substance suitable for outdoor use. They have several categories of items they make. Every item is unique because she do not use molds.
Most of she coloring is done with hand mixed colored clay. If exterior finishes are used, they are all baked on finishes. Every polymer clay item is then coated with 2-3 coats of Varathane Ultimate Polyurethane varnish, Crystal clear, with a Satin finish. This baked on finish has superior UV protection, mold, and mildew resistance, and it adds an additional waterproof coating. It also adds a hard durable finish to any of the baked-on finishes applied before it. She use it on clay jewelry to protect the jewelry from wear on the skin and protection from the skins’ oils.
